Union Pacific caboose 25275 in the late 1970s

Union Pacific caboose 25275 is a road caboose. It is large to accomodate the conductor and other train personnel in relative comfort over long distances. It has a central cupola for a superior, unobstructed, view of the train and the tracks. It still has its original desk and storage areas for maps and other documents. It has bunks for sleeping, a stove for heat and cooking, and a commode. It has an old UP advertising slogan on the side. "Have Train. Will Travel."

Relocation and new internterior display, 2014

Union Pacific caboose 25275 is finally receiving some love! In 2014, thanks to TTM volunteers Bill and Connie Foster, it has been positioned near the depot. It's interior has been thoroughly cleaned and refurbished and an interpreive display installed that tells the story of the role cabooses played on the railroads and how its crews lived.
