Santa's Railroad Wonderland is an extravaganza of Christmas activities. There are night time train and hay rides. Just about every part of our forty acre site is decorated, from the historic depot, the trains, the garden railroad, our three other scale model railroad layouts and everything else in between. We have our own character, Choo Choo Claus. Bring your camera and make your own Christmas memories. Our event has been bringing joy to thousands of families for ten years.

We encourage visitors to arrive before 8:00 pm to allow at least 1 hour to enjoy Santa's Railroad Wonderland.
Please note: The event will not be open if the weather is bad. Please call the museum to confirm event is open if the weather forecast is not looking good.
Train / Tractor Ride Schedules
Included with admission
Train Rides begin at 6:00 PM. Rides last approximately 10 minutes. Departures every 20 minutes throughout the evening.
Hay Rides begin at 6:00 PM. Rides last approximately 10 minutes. Departures by multiple tractors throughout the evening.
Special Event Group Rates
A Special Event Group Rate of $5.00 per person, for both adults and children at "Santa's Railroad Wonderland" is available under the following terms and conditions:
  1. A minimum of 15 Special Event Group Rate tickets is required.
  2. Special Event Group Rate tickets must be purchased for all members of the group in advance, either in person or by mailed-in check.
  3. Special Event Group Rate tickets will not be sold individually, either in advance or at the ticket counter.
  4. All members of the group must attend together on the same night of the event.
  5. A Special Event Group Rate receipt must be presented to obtain "Event Admission" stickers either at the ticket counter or from an authorized TTM volunteer stationed near the depot.
  6. Only one person per group may pick up "Event Admission" stickers. This person must ensure all members of the group put on a "Event Admission" sticker before entering the event.
  7. "Event Admission" stickers are not available in advance.
  8. No refunds for unused Special Event Group Rate tickets.
  9. This offer cannot be combined with any other discount.
Santa's Railroad Wonderland has been held at the Texas Transportation Museum for many years. Over the years we've experiences many happy memories which have been captured in photos. Here are just a few from this and previous years.

"Toys for Tots" in previous years
TTM no longer participates in this program. While we enjoyed being a part of "Toys For Tots" in previous years, declining participation by the public, fewer nights available and the Marines' already crowded schedule lead to a mutual decision that TTM no longer be an active participant in their wonderful cause.
