Antique vehicle rentals in San Antonio

Texas Transportation Museum has a number of vehicles available for rent in parades and other activities such as weddings, shows and cruises. They are also available for movies and adverts. Details of our terms follow images of our participation in many such activities. Our most popular vehicle is our 1924 Buffalo fire truck but we have a number of others that are also available.

Depending on availability, we have several vehicles to choose from:

1924 Buffalo fire truck. Seats eight passengers comfortably
1928 Durant Star coupe. Only seats one passenger
1929 REO Flying Cloud coupe with rumble seat. Seats three passengers
1929 Ford Model A truck. Seats eight passengers comfortably
1936 Chevrolet sedan. Seats three passengers comfortably
1958 American La France fire truck. Seats eight passengers comfortably, more in low speed parades
1958 Imperial four door hardtop. Seats four comfortably
1963 Lincoln Continental convertible. Seats four passengers comfortably, including driver

TERMS

Operating antique vehicles is labor intensive and expensive. There are also liability issues. As such the costs for renting our vehicles is relatively high. They are, however, in line with the charges offered by the very few commercial outlets in the city that offer this service.

For any activity, such as a parade, birthday party or a wedding, that will have our vehicle and driver off our property for more than four hours, the minimum fee is $500.00. For any activity that takes less than four hours the fee is $350.00. This includes the services of the driver and insurance.

We are fairly loose about how you decorate our vehicles. We can provide a generator if one is needed for additional lights. We can also provide a certain amount of suitable lights.

Additional fees for fuel may be required if the distance involved is over 50 miles.

Rental arrangements for movies and adverts will need to be negotiated on a case by case basis. We will have to factor in the length of time the vehicle is needed, who will drive it and several other considerations. Some of our other vehicles may also be available if only needed for static background purposes.
