The "T Fords of Texas" is San Antonio's very own Ford Model T club. It is open to
anyone interested in these wonderful vehicles. The club holds meetings every month,
either at the beginning of a cruise or at the home of one its members. The club now has over 40 members. We take part in a large number of events, from parades, shows and what the
automobile community call cruises, where owners meet in different places and drive their vehicles. These
events usually take place in some of the most beautiful areas of Texas.

Open invite Ford Model T Show, Saturday Sunday, May 1 & 2
The club's main annual event in San Antonio is held at
the Texas Transportation Museum. In 2010 it will be held on Saturday & Sunday, May 1 & 2. (See link below.)
The 2010 event will be our fourth annual show. From small beginnings in 2007, the show attracts upwards of
forty Model Ts of all kinds, including tourers, runabouts, heavy duty trucks, ambulances, recreational
vehilces, oil tankers and, of course, race cars. We are proud once again to announce that the show and
entrance to the museum, including train rides, is FREE on both days of the show thanks to the
generous sponsorship of the Red McCombs Automotive Group. Also participating will be athletes from
San Antonio Special Olympics, who will sell refreshments at the evnt and come with us on our Model T cruise
downtown past the Alamo on Sunday morning.
Everyone with a Model T is invited to bring it to our show. We have plenty of room! There is no fee to participate.
The show attracts between five hundred to a thousand visitors who get an unrivalled opportunity to see these
wonderful machines up close and personal, not stuck behind a velvet rope at some other collections. For
a donation towards club funds several "T Fords of Texas" members also take visitors for a donationfor drive's around TTM's
forty acre site on unpaved roads, giving them the chance to experience the Model T the way folks did bacin the early
part of the 20th centrury.

Model T Mission Tour
Recognizing that efforts to save San Antono's other four historic missions, Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan and
Espada, began as a direct result of automobiles becoming available to transport early conservationists in the early
years of the 20th century, the "T Fords of Texas," in partnership with the National Park Service and "Los Compadres," the
volunteer group dedicated to saving these nationally significant structures and lands, inaugurated a tour around the
missions in the fall of 2009. It was a huge success! The cruise brought home that we must continue the work begun
a century ago to preserve the missions for future generations just as we Model T enthusiasts are doing everything we
can to keep our almost hundred year old vehicles going as well.

The "T Fords of Texas" welcomes new members
New members to the "T Fords of Texas" are always welcome. It is astonishingly inexpensive to join.
You don't have to own a Ford Model T. You just have to appreciate the vehicle that allowed the
USA and the rest of the world to leave behind the horse and buggy and get into motorized
transportation.
