The "T Fords of Texas"

The "T Fords of Texas" is San Antonio's very own Ford Model T club. It is open to
anyone interested in these wonderful vehicles. The club holds meetings every month,
usually at the home of one its members. The club's main annual event in San Antonio is held at
the Texas Transportation Museum in the middle of May. (Saturday & Sunday, May 17 & 18, in 2008.)
The 2007 show, the first ever, attracted sixteen
vehicles. The 2008 show attracted vehicles and 1,200 visitors. Set free from behind
velvet ropes, the public got a chance to Model Ts
driving on the kind of "roads" they were designed for.

New members to the "T Fords of Texas" are always welcome. It is astonishingly inexpensive to join.
You don't have to own a Ford Model T. You just have to appreciate the vehicle that allowed the
USA and the rest of the world to leave behind the horse and buggy and get into motorized
transportation.

Club members also take part in any number of events, from parades, shows and what the
automobile community call cruises, where owners meet in different places and drive their vehicles. These
events usually take place in some of the most beautiful areas of Texas. Just one example is
"Texas T Party, " hosted by the "Space City Ts" of Houston, Texas. In 2007 the event was held
in Uvalde and attracted almost eighty operational Model Ts of every type, from two seater coupes
to tow trucks!. IN 2008 the show will be in Killeen, on October 2,3,4 & 5.
