This is a fairly modern image by a Fredericksburg painter. It was distributed for free by the Broadway Bank of San Antonio in fairly large numbers some years ago. It is supposed to represent a scene around the turn of the last century. From looking at other pictures it is obvious the artist has taken some liberties with accuracy. It is hard to believe the SA & AP ever painted any of its steam locomotives blue or that they had red cow guards. However, it is a nice image and the depot colors are quite consistent with those used by Southern Pacific on its buildings at the time.
