After the older, bigger depot was retired and removed in 1959,
this replacement building was erected. This was a fairly common
practice. The first depot was sold and relocated and is still in
Boerne. It has been substantially modified as a private house.
This second depot was demolished around 1971, when train service
to Boerne was ceased and the rails were removed as well.
