To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the introduction of the Ford Model A, the Alamo As,
the San Antonio Model A club,
and Jordan Ford hosted a free show for the public at the dealership's modern facility
on IH 35 near Loop 1604 on the northern edge of the city. The show attracted twenty
Ford Model As of various different types; two and four door sedans, coupes, convertibles
and even a couple of trucks. Visitors to the show were greeted by a wide
selection of
vehicles in a wide range of colors, each one with its own story of survival. Some
are almost original and others have been lovingly restored to perhaps even better than
original showroom condition. Several had documentation to prove they were originally
purchased right here in San Antonio.
The event, just one of the many activities the Alamo A's take part in very year, was
a great success. For more information about the club and its event schedule, Click:
